Rev. Thistle and family arrived in Elmsdale on November 7, 1988 and his first service was November 13, 1988.
In 1989 there was a “Vision for Greatness” Church Building Committ
ee consisting of Rev. Dale Thistle, David Campbell, Sidney Hardy, Erskine MacMillan, Dale Hudson, George Yeo and Ivan Wallace. The purpose of this committee was to research the future building needs of the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene.
In 1992 the 75th Anniversary of the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene was celebrated with a 75-day Session of Prayer and Fasting from Wednesday, May 13th through Sunday, July 16th.
Pastor Dale continue to serve the Lord at the Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene in New Brunswick.
